HTTPS is the secure, encrypted version of HTTP for web pages

HTTP is used to send email, while HTTPS is used to transfer files between computers

HTTP is the faster of the two, but HTTPS uses no protocol at all when loading a page

There is no real difference between the two, and either can be used for any web page

Breaks the data into packets, checks them and reassembles them in the right order
