Split the time exactly in half, giving each of the two sections the same amount of time

Roughly 75 to 80 minutes on Section A (45 marks) and 25 to 30 on Section B (15 marks)

Spend most of the available time on Section B, since it is the harder section

Give each section equal time and then guess any answers you do not finish

All answers should be exactly the same length whatever the mark tariff is

A longer answer is always better and will always pick up more of the available marks

It should match it: concise for low-tariff parts, developed for high-tariff parts

A shorter answer is always better, even on the high-tariff parts of the paper

Writing far too little overall across the whole of Section A of the written paper

Using technical drama vocabulary throughout the answers in Section A

A justified judgement of how effective the choice was overall

A breakdown of how a choice worked and its effect on the audience

An opinion about the choice given with no supporting evidence at all

A summary listing the members of the cast and the parts they played

As a separate paragraph of historical background bolted onto the answer

It should be ignored completely as it gains no marks in this section

To shape a directorial or design choice and create an effect

Only right at the very end of the answer, after all the choices are made

They are all equally weighted, so it does not matter how you split revision

Only the written exam matters, so the other two can safely be ignored

Only the coursework matters, so there is no need to revise for the exam

Two are 40% and one is 20%, so effort should follow the weightings
